Draughtsman

Location: Malton, North Yorkshire

Contract: Permanent

We have an exciting opportunity for an experienced CAD Draughtsman to join our clients design team. The role requires the use of SolidWorks 3D modelling software & AutoCAD. You will need to gain an in-depth knowledge of the products being produced and will be expected to liaise regularly with production.

Main Duties:

• Converting client's requirements into working manufacturing drawings
• Creating drawings for the client to enable site installation.
• To draw complex aluminium fabrications
• Create drawings for gutters/ rainwater ancillaries.
• Create sheet metal parts to export to CNC machines.
• Accurately interpret customer’s details
• Working as part of Team, with own colleagues and those from other key departments
• Utilising problem-solving skills to find customer resolutions.
• Independently organising, prioritising, and managing workload
• Ensuring accuracy of work issued
• Ability to work to tight deadlines.

Key Skills:

• Proven knowledge and experience of working in a design office supporting a production environment.
• 3D CAD skills are essential.
• SolidWorks
• AutoCAD
• Microsoft Office
• HNC/BTEC in Engineering or Construction would be beneficial.
• Proven experience of working with a team to achieve results.
