Night Mechanical Engineer
Location: Thirsk
Hours: Nights only, Monday to Thursday 7.30pm till 5.30am, Friday’s 4.00pm till 2.00am. 47.5 hours
Salary: Up to £52k DOE + bonus + overtime.
Contract: Permanent
We are recruiting for a Mechanical Engineer on night shifts for our client in Thirsk. The role would require the skills of an experienced maintenance/mechanical engineer with a bias in electrical or mechanical engineering. You will be working closely with the production team, so the role requires excellent communication skills.
Responsibilities:
· Perform full range of plant maintenance tasks and repairs on a proactive/planned and reactive basis.
· Thorough understanding of EHS and a safety culture
· Electro-Mechanical fault finding/repairs to PLC controlled plant. Includes pneumatic and hydraulics.
· Strong communication and organizational skills, able to provide detailed shift reports.
· Experience of working as part of a maintenance team on a manufacturing site.
· Prepared to participate in training and development.
· Ensure all planned and routine maintenance are carried out and documented on the CMMS.
Key Skills and Qualifications:
· Good knowledge of Maintenance process and activities.
· PC literate, competent computer skills.
· Proven continuous improvement skills.
· Mansafe system trained.
