Purchasing Administrator
Location: Thirsk Area
Salary: Up to £31,000
Schedule: Permanent

We are recruiting on behalf of our client for a dedicated and ambitious Purchasing Administrator to join their on-site team near Thirsk. Key Duties:

• Managing import and export clearance
• Collaborating with the supply chain on ERP to ensure raw material availability and stock accuracy
• Planning purchases and placing orders
• Tracking and expediting orders as required
• Negotiating prices and terms with suppliers
• Resolving supplier invoice queries
• Maintaining the supplier’s database
• Working with regulatory and quality teams on product and supplier approval
• Developing strong relationships with existing and new suppliers
• Handling supplier complaints
• Performing other duties as requested by management

Experience and Skills Required:

• Minimum of 3 years in a similar role
• Proficient in Microsoft Office and strong IT skills
• Strong organisational and planning skills with the ability to prioritise effectively and work under pressure
• Strong work ethic with the ability to show initiative and demonstrate excellent communication skills at all levels
• Ability to work as a strong team player and collaborate on cross-functional teams and projects
• Capability to work independently and collaboratively
