Quality Engineer
Location: Near York
Hours: Monday to Thursday 8.30am till 4.30pm and Friday 8.30am till 4.00pm
Contract: Permanent

We are recruiting for a Quality Engineer for a world leading manufacturing company that offers excellent salary and benefits package.
Your will be involved with the day-to-day management of the operations. Utilise audit skills for both internal and supply chain audits (may require worldwide travel). Opportunity to improve and rationalise quality, business, and department specific processes.
Main Duties:
- Directly responsible for preparation of all System Certification Packs.
- Manage the company’s calibration register.
- Collaborate with managers, engineers, and suppliers to develop and implement quality control measures and improvements.
- Ensure that workflows, processes, and products comply with safety regulations and industry best practices.
- Investigate and troubleshoot product or production issues and recommending corrective actions.
- Support customer audits and inspections and address any non-conformances or corrective actions.
- Create and maintain quality documentation and records, such as quality plans, inspection reports, non-conformance reports, and audit findings.
- Work with the Quality Manager on continuous improvement projects.
- Carry out job tasks safely using good working practices.
- Ensure good housekeeping.
- Other duties as assigned by the Quality Manager.
Ideal Candidate :
- HNC or above in a manufacturing/quality-based discipline
- Certification in quality management systems (e.g. ISO 9001)
- Must be able to read and interpret drawings.
- Ability to work under pressure.
- Experience in quality engineering control activities within a mechanical component environment.
- Strong analytical skills and attention to detail.
- Excellent communication and problem-solving abilities.
- Computer literate (MS Access and excel)
